By converting organic household waste into sustainable bio-based materials, UBQ™ is a novel climate positive innovation that can be used for the manufacturing of thousands of products. It is clean, sustainable, cost-effective and recyclable.
The UBQ™ Process
UBQ™ has developed a revolutionary solution that converts Residual Municipal Solid Waste (RMSW) that is destined for landfills into patented UBQ™ material.
Through a proprietary process, the mixed waste stream – containing organic elements like food waste, garden trimmings, paper, cardboard, diapers, dirty plastics, and packaging materials – is converted into an entirely homogeneous composite material (UBQ™) that can be utilized by industry.
UBQ™ is a thermoplastic and climate positive material, that can be used to make every day durable end-products, more sustainable and with a reduced carbon footprint. It can substitute plastics, minerals and wood in thousands of different applications.
The graphic above shows the starting baseline for customers assessing the concentration of UBQ Material that should be included in their final compound to reduce, neutralize or even reach a carbon negative footprint for their products.

The most climate-positive material available today.
Leveraging waste as a feedstock: For every ton of UBQ™ Material used, up to 15 tons of CO2(e) is saved.
Today, landfills are among the largest human-caused sources of methane emissions, due to the anaerobic decomposition of organics. Considering the staggering volumes, humanity needs to turn waste into a resource, beyond mere “energy reclamation,” which also has negative environmental impacts.
The production of UBQ material uses unsorted, residual municipal solid waste as its primary feedstock, diverting it from landfills and reducing emissions.
UBQ Material stands apart by saving more emissions than are created in its production and yielding a negative net carbon footprint. No other thermoplastic material offers this environmental benefit.
