Our Elastrinox range includes Elastrinox 1010, 1076 and 168 these are antioxidants to protect against thermo-oxidative degradation, they can be used alone or in conjunction to give the best results.
Elastrinox 1010 is a sterically hindered phenolic antioxidant in the form of a white powder which is soluble in benzene, acetone, chloroform, and other organic solvents. It is slightly soluble in ethanol and insoluble in water. Elastrinox 1010 is a highly effective non discolouring stabilizer to be used for organic substrates such as plastics, synthetic fibres, elastomers, and adhesives. It protects these substrates against thermo-oxidative degradation. It has low volatility and is odour and taste free. It can be combined with other additives, such as auxiliary antioxidants (e.g., thioether/thioester and phosphite) and UV stabilisers and antistatic agents. Elastrinox 1010 can be combined with Elastrinox 168 for maximum performance.
Application
- Antioxidant for food packaging to reduce waste and increase shelf life of packed products
- Can be used in combination with other additives such as co-stabilisers, UV stabilisers and other functional stabilisers
- Recommended for the processing of polymers such as polyacetals, polyamides, polyurethanes, polyester, PVC etc
- Recommended dosage is 0.04-0.3%
Elastrinox 1076 is a sterically hindered phenolic antioxidant in the form of a white powder which is soluble in solvents such as benzene, acetone, and ester. It is insoluble in water and slightly soluble in ethanol. Elastrinox 1076 is highly effective and works to protect organic substrates against thermo-oxidative degradation. It has a low volatility and excellent UV stability and is non-discolouring. Elastrinox 1076 can be combined with Elastrinox 168 for maximum performance.
Application
- Can be used in synergy with other antioxidants (Elastrinox 1010 and 1076)
- Recommended for the processing of copolymers such as polyolefins (PE, PP) and polybutene as well as ethylene vinyl acetate, polycarbonate, polyamide, polyester resin, styrene, adhesives and elastomers.
- Recommended dosage is 0.05-0.3%
Elastrinox 168 is an organic phosphite antioxidant in the form of a white powder, it has low volatility and excellent hydrolysis resistance. It is easily soluble in solvents, such as water and ethanol, and slightly soluble in esters. Elastrinox 168 has good thermal stability and water extraction resistance. It effectively decomposes hyperoxides produced during polymer thermal processing. Elastrinox 168 works to extend the performance of primary antioxidants and works well in conjunction with Elastrinox 1010 and Elastrinox 1076.
Application
- Can be used in synergy with other antioxidants (Elastrinox 1010 and Elastrinox 1076)
- Recommended for the processing of copolymers such as polyolefins (PE, PP) and polybutene as well as ethylene -vinyl acetate, polycarbonate, polyamide, polyester resin, styrene, adhesives and elastomers
- Recommended dosage is 0.05-0.3%
