On the 1. of April 2022 a new tax came into force in the UK – the Plastic Packaging Tax (PPT).
Any company producing or importing over 10 tonnes of plastic packaging will need to declare the amount of plastic packaging they have handled. The tax of £200 per tonne will be due on any plastic packaging that does not contain at least 30% recycled content or is not otherwise exempt.
Please be informed that Plastribution will settle, directly or indirectly, the liability for the packaging of the product (for example 25kg plastic bags).
Plastribution is not responsible for the PPT liability on the product itself.
