The British Plastics Federation is planning to enter into a Climate Change Agreement (BPF CCA) with the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) for the Plastics Sector in the autumn. As a qualifying site this could save you an 80% discount on the Climate Change Levy (CCL) you currently pay for electricity and LPG, if you participate in the BPF CCA. However, we are working to strict deadlines and you need to start the process now.

To start the ball rolling you must register your interest using the BPF1 form available at

www.bpfenergy.co.uk as soon as possible if you want to begin the application process and receive your CCL discount; the earliest this can be is the entry date 1 October 2009.

The cut-off for accepting completed applications for the current scheme year is 31 October 2009 and if you miss this deadline then the next entry point to the scheme will be 1 April 2011. Don’t delay, get started today!

Whilst you are at liberty to use any advisor to help you prepare your application and help you

meet scheme targets on energy reduction, Inenco will be the only BPF Scheme Administrator and all applications to participate in the Scheme will be channelled through Inenco to DECC. It makes real sense to take action now:
• The sooner you begin the sooner you save
• You may avoid the obligations under the Carbon Reduction Commitment
